Obituary
On October 9, 2026 our lives changed forever. Our brother, Danny, made his transition from this world at 12:11 pm at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak after almost a yearlong hospital and rehab stay.
Danny's life was a challenge since birth. His parents were told he would most likely never see his 21st birthday. He proved them wrong. He and his twin, David, turned 62 on January 11 this year. Danny overcame so many obstacles they are almost too numerous to recall. Despite those health challenges he attended Howe School in Dearborn, then Stout, and finally was "graduated" with a certificate of completion from Edsel Ford in Dearborn. After Edsel Ford, he attended the STEP Program in Dearborn where he worked in the sheltered workshop until he retired in 2015 after 25 years of service.
Some people ask what could someone like Danny with so many physical and mental challenges possibly bring to a relationship or a family? His needs were many and his contributions to "society" might have been considered minimal and few. Nothing could be more inaccurate and farther from the truth.
Danny loved unconditionally. He accepted people as they were and loved them in spite of their looks or intellect. Once he met you, he never forgot your name. He tried to ensure everyone around him was happy. If they weren't, he tried to help them in his own innocent way.
He loved his family completely. He was one of 36 grandchildren between Mom and Dad's families. He knew his cousins, and remembered them even after long absences. He loved his brothers and their families as though his nieces and nephews were his own children. He made a point of asking about each one every day, and always asked where they were and what they were doing.
Our house is too quiet now. After living with us over six years since Mom passed, we grew accustomed to having that TV playing DVDs of The HULK, the Addams Family, the Munsters, Mork & Mindy, the Three Stooges, My Three Sons, and even Golden Girls. Our lives will never be the same Danny.
We are sad we've had to say goodbye for a while, but happy for you, Danny Boy. You are in the presence of our Heavenly Father and His Son. You are well with a new body and mind! Never again will you experience pain, sadness, seizures, or loss.
We are so grateful you are our brother. We selfishly wish we could have had you with us a while longer, but Jesus mercifully brought you home. We will always love you Danny!
Love you forever,
Terry, Deb, Jim, & Dave
Tim, Pete, Michael, Josh,
Heather, Alexa and all of your great-nephews and nieces
